To celebrate the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2019 shortlist announcement, we’re giving one lucky person the chance to win two £500 Whistles gift cards, two tickets to the 2019 Women’s Prize awards party on June 5th 2019 and a full set of the 6 shortlisted books.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. No purchase necessary. Proof of entering is not proof of receipt of entry.

2. The competition will close at midday on Friday 31st May 2019. To be eligible, entries must be received on or before the competition closing date.

3. The prizewinner will be decided by the Prize. The prizewinner will need to respond within one week of being contacted by email; or the prize will be forfeit and will be awarded to a different entrant selected at random.

4. The promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prizes or offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.

5. The competition is not open to employees of Whistles, Waterstones or the Women’s Prize for Fiction or their immediate families.

6. The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.

7. All prizes are not transferable, non-refundable, no whole/part cash alternatives.

8. By being entered into the draw, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph and/or image for publicity purposes in all media carried out by the Promoter (and in the case of there being more than one, each of them) without payment or compensation.

9. The Promoter will make available the name and county of the winners to anyone who requests this information by writing an email to jennifer@womensprizeforfiction.co.uk

10. The Promoter may terminate, amend or withdraw this draw and/or these terms and conditions at any time.

11. Entry to the pre-order draw is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are governed by English Law. By entering this pre-order draw you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.

12. The contact details you provide to enter the competition will be used b the Promoter to contact entrants if necessary, and to send you occasional emails if you have specifically checked the box to agree to this. Your details will not be shared with other companies, again unless you have specifically checked the box to request communications from Whistles. The Women’s Prize for Fiction will only use your email address and other personal information in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with the Prize privacy policy, which can be found on our website here.

13. You may use your gift card to make purchases at any Whistles standalone stores in the UK.

14. Unfortunately, the gift card cannot be redeemed in any Whistles concessions, outlets or international franchises, neither online nor via telephone/mail-order.

15. If the gift card is not used for a consecutive period of 24 months – whether to make a purchase, a balance enquiry or to top-up – the card will automatically expire at the end of that period and the balance on the card will be forfeited.

16. When you use your gift card, the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on the card. Unfortunately, change cannot be given.

17. Your gift card is non returnable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.

18.Cash refunds cannot be given for purchases made using your gift card.

19. Your gift card is equivalent to cash, and like cash if lost, stolen or damaged it cannot be replaced.

20. All refunds of goods or services purchased with your gift card will be made in accordance with Whistles refund policy. This does not affect your statutory rights. Should we not receive the payment for the initial purchase of the gift card, Whistles will cancel the value of the card. Where the fraudulent use of a credit card is suspected, further action may be taken.

21. Whistles reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time-to-time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. The terms do not affect your statutory rights. Current conditions will be available at all times online at www.whistles.com
