Inside the Penguin #LikeAWoman pop-up shop…

Penguin Books are celebrating the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage and International Women’s Day in style, with a week-long pop-up shop, selling only books by women.

We were lucky enough to pop down and experience this dream of a bookshop, showcasing showcase incredible female figures who have made a difference or fought for change #LikeAWoman: contributing to progress in politics, activism, writing, art and more.

Open until Friday this week, he pop-up stocks work from the world’s most powerful, diverse and creative women writers, including all twenty-two Women’s Prize for Fiction winners in a special display.

Shoppers also have the chance to purchase books to be donated to Solace Women’s Aid, a charity providing practical and emotional support to over 11,000 survivors of domestic violence in London each year.

The pop-up runs from 5-9 March on Rivington Street, East London. If you’re based near the capital, make sure you head down and see it for yourself!
