We’re delighted to announce the first ever fully virtual Women’s Prize for Fiction shortlist readings and winner announcement.

Our much-loved shortlist readings this year will be digital events with a difference, featuring well-known actors reading from the shortlisted books, plus intimate behind-the-scenes films with the authors themselves. Want to find out more about Bernardine Evaristo’s writing process, or discover how Hilary Mantel researched her Cromwell trilogy? You’ll be in the room with the authors, and have the chance to ask them questions live.

You’ll also secure an exclusive front row seat for the moment the 25th Women’s Prize winner is crowned, and be among the first to pose your questions to them.

Join us over a series of four evenings to celebrate the six novels and authors shortlisted for this year’s Prize and be the first to see the 25th winner of the Women’s Prize crowned.

Shortlist Readings

We’ll be showcasing two authors per night on Sunday 6th, Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th September. Each event will feature well-known actors reading extracts from the shortlisted books, with Ben Miles,  Anne-Marie Duff and Coral Peña announced so far.

Plus intimate films with the authors themselves, giving us a tour of their homes or most inspiring places. You can also ask questions to the authors in live Q&A sessions each night, chaired by the Prize’s Founder Director Kate Mosse.

2020 Winner Announcement

On Wednesday 9th September, the announcement of the winner of the 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction will be unveiled live by Chair of Judges Martha Lane Fox. Your ticket will give you a front row seat for the moment the 25th winner is revealed, followed by a live Q&A, where you can be amongst the first to ask questions of the winning authorimmediately after the announcement.

Your £10 pass will buy you access to all four events, and the chance to ask questions live to the authors.
