Encourage developing writers to own their narrative as a Writers' Circle member

For 25 years, the Women’s Prize for Fiction has championed women’s writing and brought it to more readers than ever before. As a Writers’ Circle member, you will become one of our closest collaborators, supporting our vision of developing the next generation of women writers across the country. By making a donation of £20,000 and over, you will become a champion of talent development, creating pathways for more outstanding and diverse womens’ voices to be raised and shared.

Your gift is a donation, which for UK tax-payers Gift Aid can be claimed against, adding to its value. In recognition of your support we will be delighted to acknowledge you as members of the Women’s Prize Writers’ Circle on our website and in our programmes. We’d also like to invite you to join us through unique invitations and opportunities to explore our work. These include:

  • Annual lunch with Founder Kate Mosse, Managing Director Harriet Hastings and Chair of the Board Joanna Prior
  • An invitation to our annual patrons’ event, an opportunity to meet the judges and some of the longlisted authors
  • Be our guest with a plus-one at our glamorous annual awards party to be the first to hear the winner announcement
  • Association with the national talent programme, including event invitations and reports
  • The opportunity to meet the writers involved in the showcase
  • Receiving a complimentary set of the shortlisted books
  • Quarterly digital updates to hear about the impact of the work you have helped to fund, and be ‘in-the-know’ with our latest news and campaigns
If you choose to, you’ll be recognised for your generous support as a Readers’ Circle member on our website

If you would like to discuss becoming a Writers’ Circle member, please contact Claire Shanahan at claire@womensprizeforfiction.co.uk

In a culture that still gives most of the big prizes to men, we still need an award in the arts just for women. It’s in everyone’s interest to even the score.
